SAR measurement laboratory
Nexio has the only SAR measurement laboratory in France, capable of measuring the following values 2G / 3G / 4G / 5Gas well as bluetooth, wifi, LoRa, Sigfox
The NEXIO SAR measurement laboratory uses innovative technology developed by ArtFi, a French tech start-up.
This new measurement system represents a real technological breakthrough compared with previous methods, and is both more accurate and faster.
The innovative, high-performance SAR measurement solution
A laboratory for real-time EMF and SAR testing of smartphones and connected objects, to help manufacturers and R&D teams improve their competitive position and ensure regulatory compliance.
NEXIO works with operators, regulators, manufacturers and members of French, European and international standards committees.
DAS measurement offers
(2G / 3G / 4G)
- Test protocol dedicated to the reconditioning market
- At least 150 measurements on a reference product (body SAR and limb SAR)
- Measurements are taken for 2G, 3G and 4G
- Worst-case measurement possible on 4 other pieces of equipment (sample)
- Results delivered within 5 days.
(Wifi / Bluetooth / LoRa / Sigfox / …)
- Single-sided measurement
- Minimum 10 measurements
- Measurements are taken for all radio technologies between 700 MHz and 6 GHz
(e.g. WiFi / Bluetooth / …). - Results delivered within 5 days
with experienced technician
- Access to the laboratory for a day of measurements (9am – 6pm)
- Experienced test operator
- On-demand measurements
- Raw results at the end of the day
Who can benefit from DAS NEXIO's measurement laboratory services?
Customers who design, develop and validate products integrating radiofrequency modules (2G / 3G / 4G / 5G, bluetooth, wifi, LoRa, Sigfox, etc.) or operating on frequencies from 700 MHz to 6 GHz.
NEXIO's DAS commitments
Propose the best measurement technology:
Faster and more precise
Integrating SAR measurement into RADIO design choices
Make products compliant with regulatory requirements
on people's exposure to electromagnetic waves
Benefit from the know-how of our DAS measurement specialists
Carry out characterization measurements, investigative or normative tests
Greater legal certainty
When manufacturers want to prove compliance with exposure limits and assess the SAR values of their products, they can use the new IEC/EN 62209-3 product standard (systems based on vector measurements).
This approach offers a high level of legal certainty: when manufacturers place a cell phone on the European market, they must prove that they comply with the essential requirements of the RED, in particular those set out in section 3.1.a of the RED, which are designed to protect health and safety risks.
Compliance with the essential requirements relating to exposure to electromagnetic fields can be demonstrated by various means, one of which is SAR assessment according to the new IEC 62209-3 standard, combined with certification by a notified body.
The best measurement technology
- IEC 62209-3 defines robust, reliable and accurate measurements, reducing the uncertainty of compliance.
- It also aims to significantly reduce the time and cost of measuring SAR values.
- It is adapted to complex technologies such as 5G.
- Finally, this technology is used by ANFR, the French national frequencies agency, which is responsible for market surveillance in France.
