Better measurement in real environments: a new approach
EMC from NEXIO

Reveal useful signals, even in noisy electromagnetic environments

Measuring electromagnetic emissions under real-life conditions is often a challenge. Between radio interference, parasitic signals and open environments that are difficult to control, it becomes complex to obtain reliable results.

With its partners TéSA and DGA Techniques Aérospatiales, NEXIO has developed an innovative approach that drastically reduces ambient noise and makes measurements much easier to read.

A key challenge: exploiting measurements in an open environment

Today, there are two options:

  • Isolate systems in heavy (often limited) infrastructures,

  • or measure outdoors… with omnipresent noise.

NEXIO innovation changes logic:
instead of running away from noise, we intelligently suppress it.

An intelligent, adaptive solution

The technology developed is based on a simple idea:

➡️ Analyze ambient noise in real time
➡️ Identify it
➡️ Digitally suppress it

Result:

✔️ The useful signal is clearly visible
✔️ Measurement becomes usable
✔️ Real-life conditions become an advantage, not a constraint

Concrete performance

The results speak for themselves:

  • Up to 30 dB noise reduction

  • Significant improvement in the legibility of measures

  • Proven effectiveness in laboratory and real-life conditions

Even initially invisible signals can be revealed.

Why it's an important change

This approach opens up new possibilities:

  • Perform EMC tests in real environments with greater reliability

  • Reduce dependence on heavy infrastructure

  • Better use of field measurement campaigns

  • Adapting methods to operational constraints

More flexibility, fewer constraints, more value in measurement.
